Mary Ann McKenzie fell in love with the barn at Four Winds Farm, and when the land became available to purchase, she jumped at the opportunity to restore it. With a family history of farm ownership and a degree in Horticulture from the University of Wisconsin, she had developed an interest in permaculture and regenerative agriculture. The acres surrounding the barn provided a perfect place to implement those practices. She created an event center in the barn to provide people with a place to gather, learn, and celebrate surrounded by the beauty of a working Wisconsin farm.
